At JP's Massage we are looking to add a team member that enjoys of more than one year of experience. The knowledge of other modalities is a Big plus. 

 

A 60mins of massage pays $30 and 90mins pays $45 + Tips. Therapist will be an employee and will get paid through direct deposit. If the therapist has prove of valid training on additional modalities such as Deep Tissue, Cupping Massage, Pre-Natal massage, etc...He/she will be paid more during those specific sessions. Therapist needs to be available to work Mon-Fri from 2-8pm or weekends (10-8pm).

Essential Responsibilities: 

1. Assesses and diagnoses the patient's needs, reviews physician's referral and/or medical record, and formulates treatment goals and plans that correspond to the patient's unique needs while meeting safety requirements.

 

2. Documents patients records in an accurate and timely manner and records pertinent data in  SOAP sheets in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Completes all relevant paperwork; submits forms and in a timely manner (e.g. visit

ticket entries, charge tickets).

 

3. Assists in developing patient education materials, forms and policies. Uses approved patient education materials and educates patients and families based on care plan. 

 

4. Actively participates in staff, and/or interdisciplinary meetings, task forces, and projects, including quality improvement initiatives and patient safety projects. Attends continuing education activities to maintain current knowledge.

 

5. Attends continuing education activities to maintain current knowledge in massage therapy. Identifies needs for continued growth and development. Participates in activities that contribute to professional growth. Participates in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety projects.

 

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

1. Vocational or Technical training required in Massage Therapy. 

2. License required: State

3. 1-3 years related work experience needed.

4. Licensed by the State of Massachusetts Board of Registration of Massage Therapy.

5. Graduated from a massage school accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA).

6. Ability to work evenings Mon-Friday in the afternoon/evening shift or weekends

7. Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications. (Wellnessliving)

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

1. Two to three yeas of experience in massage preferred.

1. Written Communications: Ability to summarize and communicate in English moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers.

2. Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to staff, patients, families and external customers.

3. Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices and policies with the ability to use them in complex varied situations.

4. Team Work: Ability to act as a team leader for small projects or work groups, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows. 

5. Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

 

 

Physical Nature of the Job:

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.
